Industrial workers form the backbone of the United States economy, and Strong Arm Technologies believes they deserve advanced design and technology to empower them. With the FLx ErgoSkeleton, the company aims to provide these workers with the support they need to perform at the level of professional athletes.
The FLx ErgoSkeleton is designed to remind wearers to maintain proper posture while lifting, in combination with proper ergonomics training. The Posture Feedback System encourages behavioral changes in workers, such as pivoting instead of twisting when turning to the side, positioning the body closer to the load, and bending at the knees to lift with the legs instead of the back.
Made in the United States with globally sourced materials, the FLx ErgoSkeleton offers a length adjustment of 427mm to 488mm, ensuring a comfortable fit for a range of users. The device converts user body movements into mechanical feedback, providing real-time support and guidance.
The FLx ErgoSkeleton was developed by a team of dedicated individuals, including Sean Petterson, Justin Hillary, Michael Kim, Timothy Bromm, Michael Spinelli, and Peter Noh. Their collective efforts resulted in a highly active and mechanical product that prioritizes both safety and user experience.
Throughout the design process, Strong Arm Technologies conducted extensive research, including user feedback, prototyping, prototype testing, and design iteration. The company overcame various creative, technical, and research challenges to create a product that seamlessly integrates into the daily routines of industrial workers.
Recognized for its innovative design, the FLx ErgoSkeleton was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Safety Clothing and Personal Protective Equipment category in 2016. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the product's outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life for industrial workers.
With its patent-pending technology, the FLx ErgoSkeleton is set to revolutionize workplace safety and performance. By reminding workers to maintain proper posture and encouraging safer body movements, this postural support device empowers industrial athletes to excel in their roles while minimizing the risk of injury.
